Coming into high school, I didnt pay any attention to the word Social Justice. As time went by my school taught me the real meaning of social justice. Social justice is the idea of creating a society or institution that is based on the principles of equality and solidarity, that understands and values human right, and that recognizes the dignity of every human being.
My high school really made clear what social justice was. We took classes every year that defined social justice. It all lead up senior year when we had to combine it at in a project. So is social jsutice really justice? People might say social justice will never be met. But I think that we are inproving a unjust world into a just one.
I also think that racism plays a big role in social justice. Racism will alwas exist but us as a people have to make sure that we don't put racist people in power andd that way we can accomplish social justice not for just minorities but for every human being that isn't treated fairly.
Everyone is entitled to social justice aas a human being. This means that f healthcare isnt distributed fairly among people then this is unjust. Social justice has more recentlycame into the field of bioethics. topics such as affordable access to health care, especially for low income households and family are discussed. The discussion also raises questions such as whether society should bear healthcare costs for low income families, and whether the global marketplace is a good thing to deal with healthcare.
In school my view on social justice has changed. Its not just about being fair, it's about being equal and treating human beings like human beings in any situation wheather it is political, economical, or cultural. Having affordable healthcare that does not leave people broke is Social Justice. Healthcare is changing for the better and I think in terms of social justice the goals are going to be met. People won't die anymore from the lack of healthcare. No human being should have to die because they can't afford "help". Meduical attention should be free and with the new healthcare reform coming into action in the next couple of years, this world would be just.
